The legendary dragon sinks its sharp fangs into its own tail swallowing it. “UROBOROS” is about the world that took the form of an unending ring, in which the beast was nurtured.

On January 9th and 10th, 2010, the beast took flight into the Nippon Budoukan. Without sparing any space on this DVD, the world of “UROBOROS” over the 2 days and from every angle possible is presented here. In other words it is a staging of the kaleidoscopic world of DIR EN GREY. Highly-charged visuals are packed back to back in synch with the continuing cycle of the beast from death to its rebirth.

At the end of 2008,“UROBOROS” took off into the world from Osaka-jo Hall. Riding on the back of the dragon, the band took off to the United Kingdom for the “Kerrang! Tour 2009.” Upon their return, they embarked on a modest nationwide tour “TOUR09 FEAST OF V SENSES” hitting many local districts all over Japan. This put a mark on the starting point of their worldwide tour “TOUR09 ALL VISIBLE THINGS.” This incredible tour was climaxed by the 2 Days Nippon Budokan shows, now on DVD, which brought their concerts to a whole new height. The 2 nights, dubbed “UROBOROS -with the proof in the name of living…- has placed a mark in the band’s history being one of their legendary shows, even attaining the highest concert rating from rock magazine Kerrang! renowned for being the world’s highest selling print magazine of this genre. This DVD will allow you to immerse yourself in a world that can was only made possible here. NEW SINGLE 『Hageshisa to, Kono Mune no Naka de Karamitsuita Shakunetsu no Yami』2009.12.2 RELEASE　 11/25 up

This is what lies ahead on the road to world standards

It has been a year since their 7th album UROBOROS was release simultaneously in 17 countries worldwide.
Kicking off with their show “UROBOROS –breathing-“ in Osaka-jyo Hall, they embarked on the Kerrang! Tour in the UK, two Japanese nationwide tours “TOUR09 FEAST OF V SENSES” and “TOUR09 ALL VISIBLE THINGS.” Constantly being in and out of tours, the band was able to really probe into their album and now they present us with HAGESHISA TO, KONO MUNE NO NAKA DE KARAMITSUITA SHAKUNETSU NO YAMI, a song that brings together the fierce vocals of frontman Kyo with the roaring sounds of the band. This new track was mixed and mastered by two very prominent engineers from abroad introducing an even newer edge and depth into the single with their techniques. The coupling track ZAN a fan favorite from their debut has been remade for this release, now even more aggressive than before. Another fan favorite, SHOKUBENI recorded in the studio is also included in this single with footage depicting the making of this single. The 2 DAYS show in Nippon Budoukan on January 9th and 10th, early next year, should be a no-miss for surely the band will amaze us all once again with something new.
